Agentic Experiences at Dreamforce in San Francisco

It’s been a busy couple of months for myself and for Ziipline! Over the last six weeks, I’ve been fortunate to attend both Dreamforce in San Francisco and ‘Agentforce on tour’ here in London. Both events showcased the latest advancements in the Salesforce AI space (have you heard of Agentforce?) and were also great opportunities to catch up with connections, both old and new.
San Francisco & Dreamforce
It was a fantastic first time in San Francisco, with an incredible amount packed into four days – everything from cycling over the Golden Gate Bridge, plenty of late nights, a hungover run around the city and even the occasional mention of something called Agentforce. The scale of Dreamforce can’t be understated (I’ve been told it used to be even bigger), but no doubt the best part of the week was spending time with all the talented people in our industry.
Salesforce -> Agentforce
The focus was on one thing: Salesforce is going all in on Agentforce with a hard pivot for all clouds, products, teams and us as partners too. One particularly interesting use case was the idea of a scalable workforce using agents.
Many industries, such as financial services, experience demand fluctuation throughout the year due to seasonal patterns such as tax year end, changing interest rates, market sentiment, and the introduction of regulatory changes. Utilising agents to rapidly scale your workforce during these spikes in demand would deliver real value for these organisations.
Fast time to value… if you’re ready
As demonstrated at the events, agents can be built with low code – meaning quick setup, easy rollout and fast time to value. However, a mature data strategy and joined up enterprise architecture are required to unlock the full power of Agentforce. Organisations that have invested in tools such as Data Cloud to break their data silos and join disparate systems will be in the strongest position to benefit. As always, your AI strategy must start with a focus on your data, ensuring that you can quickly roll out effective agents and be one of the first movers in this space.
San Francisco topped off an amazing first year of Ziipline and provided the perfect opportunity to reflect. As always, I couldn’t be prouder of the fantastic team we’ve built. Somewhat unbelievably, we’ve grown to a team of 50 over the last year, working on some of the biggest and most exciting transformational programmes out there. We’re always looking for the best people, and if you’re interested in joining one of the strongest technical and consulting teams in the Salesforce space, give me a shout.
