Community, Challenge and Collaboration

Team Ziipline came together for our Q4 quarterly Volunteering Day, one of the highlights of our calendar and a chance to give something back to the community.

A Strong Start

We kicked things off with a morning spin class, thanks to a few enthusiastic early birds who jumped at the chance to get moving. It brought great energy to the start of the day and set the pace for the rest of the team!

Stepping Up at Hackney Foodbank

Later in the morning, we headed to Hackney Foodbank for their supermarket sweep challenge. Working in teams, we set out to collect, sort and pack essential food supplies. The final tally came to 641 kilograms of food, enough to provide around 64 emergency food parcels or 576 meals. All of it will go directly to individuals and families in the local area who need it most.

Learning Through Action

Taking part in the challenge gave us more than just a fun team activity. It also offered a real insight into the daily demands of a frontline charity and the importance of continued support from the wider community.

Finishing on a High

To finish off the day, we regrouped for an escape room challenge. Solving clues under pressure brought out everyone’s problem-solving skills and teamwork. It also gave us a chance to unwind, reconnect and reflect on the day together.

Time Well Spent

Volunteering is an important part of life at Ziipline. It allows us to step outside the everyday, strengthen our connections as a team and contribute to causes we care about. This volunteering day brought all of that to life.
